Una imágen vale más que mil palabras

Photographs are one of the best ways to provide a context for language tasks in the classroom. Five Card Flickr lets you select five photos to create a "photo story." You can add text, and the story can be saved and accessed again through a permalink. Right now, my students are simply recording descriptions of five photographs for the oral component of an exam, but there are many possibilities for activities. Just a note, Five Card Flickr only works with Mozilla Firefox.

Ser y estar en títulos de libros para niños

These titles of children's books are good examples of some of the uses of ser and estar. I use them as a cloze exercise and then ask students to write sentences that might be found in one of the books.

Más respeto, que soy tu madre
Fatima Vanessa: Yo soy de El Salvador
¿Soy realmente diferente?
¡Me gusto como soy!
Soy demasiado pequeña para ir al colegio
Yo soy un pequeño oso
Quién soy y por qué estoy aquí
¿Para qué estoy aquí en la Tierra?
Estoy creciendo
Estoy triste
Cuando estoy enfermo
Como me veo cuando estoy enojado
Estoy en la playa
¿Dónde estoy?
¡Oye! Estoy ocupado
Aquí estoy Mami
